Air
The classical Elements and their attributes are laid out in a convenient table. Many ancient practices and philosophies use a set of archetypal classical Elements to explain patterns in nature. The Wiccan Elements are very important for Wicca. They are Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Aether (Spirit).
Symbols of the Elements are used for protection and spells. The Elements are connected with each and every process in Nature. They are symbolic of physical, spiritual and emotional attributes. Each practitioner must learn and feel the Elements. It takes time to contemplate and understand them. Be personal – read the tables, learn about the Wiccan Elements and try to see them all around you.
Many Wiccans do meditate on these elements. The knowledge of The Elements is very important in herbal lore and other magick practices. Please also check the practical aspects of the elements.

The Wiccan Elements – Air Fire Water Earth Aether (Spirit)
Where to Get the Best Wiccan Books?

I really need help. I am making a outside sanctuary and I want to plant four trees in by the elements they represent. I have searched and could not find it. Your site came the closest but still did not give me names of any trees. I want to plant some floweral trees just because the are so great and show all the grace. If you could point me in the right direction I would strongly be grateful for you help.
Thanks
Mariposa
Thank you, Mariposa for the inspiration. I have added new information to my Wiccan Elements table. All you have to do now is listen to your intuition. Once you have freed your mind from thoughts and prejudice, you will find it easy to make a choice and the right trees will come to you.
Best of luck and blessings.
Thanks for providing the information about the five elements. My zodiac sign is gemini so is that mean my ideal element is air.And how whould i improve my status for the element air.
where can i find more information on witchcraft. Also how do i become a wicca
I am just now finding myself as a witch, I am earth element but, water attracts me in so many ways, swimming calms me inside and out. I dont know if earth is me but, I am a Capricorn. I want to learn so much about wicca it fascinates me and I think I might be a blood witch but I am not sure, my great ancestor was a Indian healer is that some what of the same. as I have said before I am just finding myself thats all. I love wicca, its so beautiful,
blackmask, Laura – your Zodiac sign doesn’t matter too much. I am Air but I cannot tell, which is my favourite element. Just like Laura I am too very attracted by water. However, if you want to create a special bond with your Wicca element, you may want to perform a simple ritual involving an action corresponding to your element (see the table row “Ritual Action”)
alex, you may wish to look into this: http://www.wicca.in/how-to-become-a-wiccan/
Thank you for the comments.
Great information. I am doing research for a CUUPS meeting. Thanks
aylanorthwind, that is great, thank you. Can you tell us more about Unitarian Universalism?
This greatly helped me,
I was confused in how to figure out my element. I had a slight suspicision it might be water for the simple fact that I not only repel hot things such that relate to fire, but also because I’m attracted to it unconciously. I find myself sitting outside on a wet day, or taking hour long showwer. Swimming is my favorite thing todo as well. I’m a pisces, and the odd thing is my favorite season is Autum, I love all shades of blue, taste is my best sense, and twilight is my favorite part of the day (I commonly walk to the park just to see the sunset and walk home in the dark). It scares me how much I relate to this. But it helped me greatly. I have no doubts that Water is my element now.
Okay, is your element based on your star sign? Example: I’m an Aries and it is said I’m associated with fire. Or is there some way to “specialize” to totally define it? I’ve always felt different than fire, though I do like it
white wiccan, It can be based on your zodiac sign but you should always consult your intuition. it is very important to learn to understand and appreciate all elements – it will make your life more stable.
what is the instrument of water? i do not see it on here?
Thank you Reganartist, I’ve updated the info.
For all my life I’ve tried to supress any believe in the power that flows all around me but I’m finally ready to embrace it. Please help me.
I’m a capricorn and it says i’m earth but i’m attracted to fire i was supposed to be born in november but i ended up in december on the 23rd is there anyway i could be fire? Also it’s not just fire but air and water it’s like i can’t live without it.
I’m trying to find myself and I am most drawn to Wicca. I figured I would start by finding my element and listening to it. My problem is I am not sure of what I am. I have read that you are attuned to your element by your birthday. I feel like I pulled else where. Is it possible to be another element all together?
Hi, I am an Earth element (by Zodiac) and I question why so few animals are given for it. I’m in no place to really say anything as so many sites are unhelpful and inaccurate. So my question is are there more animals for earth other than cow, bull, dog, horse, ant, bears and wolf? Id love to know, because I find all of this fascinating (especially since my roommates/friends are respectfully interested in it)!
I just recently have started looking into what I truly believe and am trying to find my element. I have always felt close to fire and I am a leo, but lately I have felt myself pull closer to air. Is there any way to find out which is truly my element?
So, my birthday is May 13th. By old standard I was a Taurus, and by new zodiac, I fall on the last day of Aries and first day of Taurus.
Now although, I definitely feel similarites with the earth element, I feel connections with all of the elements. I’ve been trying to figure it out. And when I take the online tests, I always get something different. When the test is only on the 4 main elements I mostly get air, though I have gotten one of each. And when I take a test that usually has all 5 includeing Aether/Spirit I ALWAYS get Aether.
Could this possibly mean that my element is Aether? Or does my connection to my zodiac mean something else? What is the best way of finding out?
I’m fire! It makes me happy! too bad i live somewhere thats freezing 3outof 4 seasons! BRRRRRR!
Bright Blessings and Greetings ,
I am Skyfox Lord of the Cresent moon and servant to the lord and lady ..it is pleasing to see seekers stretching out for knowledge indeed our elements are defined by the stars.
For once did a Sorceress by the name of Kara form the mystic art Zodiac and helped us define and understand a great many things.
But another question does come to mind ..do the stars define and shape our destiny or the classic saying “our future is written in the stars” my belief is that
we are each masters of our own destiny as much as the forces of the universe work we still have the power of “Akarash” or “Spirit” and can master all the elements with time and study.
But i do not disagree that our birth elements are our birth elements and we have greater power over them than the others at first 🙂 … also
